Attorney Guy S. Emerich Selected For Inclusion In Best Lawyers In America
2007
PUNTA GORDA, FL (October 2007) –
Board certified attorney Guy S. Emerich, a shareholder and director of Farr,
Farr, Emerich, Hackett and Carr, P.A., was recently selected by his peers for
inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2007 in the field of
Trusts & Estates (Copyright 2006 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, S.C.). Since
its inception in 1983, Best Lawyers has become universally regarded as
the definitive guide to legal excellence. Because Best Lawyers is based
on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 25,000 leading attorneys
cast almost two million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their
specialties, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be
listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor.
Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most
respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
“It is a great honor for me to
be selected for Best Lawyers in America,” Emerich commented. Farr, Farr,
Emerich, Hackett and Carr, P.A. president Jack O. Hackett II added, “The firm is
proud of Guy and of his commitment to quality, professionalism and compassion
that leads to an honor of this nature.”
Emerich, former president of the
firm, is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Wills, Trusts and Estate Law. He
focuses his practice in estate planning and trust and probate administration.
He is also a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
Active both personally and
professionally, Emerich is a member of the American Bar Association, The Florida
Bar, and the Charlotte County Bar Association, for which he has served as its
president. He is currently the co-vice chairman of the Mentoring Committee of
the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section of The Florida Bar, and a member of
the Section’s Executive Council. Emerich has held leadership and board positions
with numerous organizations, including the Port United Methodist Church and
Charlotte County Mental Health Services. He currently serves as a director of
the Southwest Florida Community Foundation and the Charlotte County Art Guild
Endowment Trust.
Emerich received his Bachelor of
Arts degree and Juris Doctor degree (with honors) from the University of
Florida, where he served as an editor of the University of Florida Law Review
and as an assistant professor of law. He received his Master of Laws degree in
estate planning from the University of Miami. |
