Our firm's attorneys appear before the county
commissions and city councils and their boards and committees
in Southwest Florida for planning, zoning, platting, and
development site plan approval. We work to obtain permits
and approvals from the various Water Management Districts
of Florida, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection,
Regional Planning Councils, the Florida Department of Community
Affairs, the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund
of the State of Florida (Florida Cabinet), the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and
the National Marine Fisheries Service.
We are strong advocates for private property; we are also counselors for stewardship.
Recognizing that responsible growth will preserve the environment for future
generations, our firm's attorneys have been active participants in drafting
and redrafting Charlotte County 's Comprehensive Land Use Plan. In addition,
our firm has contributed many hours to public service in this area of law by
having allowed one of its directors to serve on the Southwest Florida Regional
Planning Council.
