The firm's estates and trusts practice group
provides services in areas of estate planning, estate and
trust administration, taxation, elder law, and asset protection
planning.
Estate planning involves more than avoiding
or reducing estate taxes. It is an ongoing plan for the management
of assets in the event of incapacity and for the distribution
of property at an individual's death. Estate planning may
include planning to save or reduce taxes, avoid probate or
reduce its cost, provide for incapacity and long term care,
and protect and preserve assets. Our services range from
preparation of simple wills to the administration and tax
planning involved in complex estates and trusts.
Our firm specializes in probate and trust
administration. Probate is the legal process by which a person's
debts are paid and assets are distributed upon his or her
death. Estate administration includes the probate process
as well as non-probate transfers of the decedent's assets.
Probate can often be avoided by the use of living trusts
and our firm regularly establishes trusts and counsels and
assists Trustees in fulfilling their fiduciary duties.
Asset protection is important not only to
our clients that are engaged in high risk businesses and
those wanting to reduce estate taxes, but also to those facing
a need for long-term medical care. Our estate planning and
elder law attorneys utilize an array of distinctive legal
tools and techniques to help protect and preserve our clients'
wealth
The estates and trusts practice group frequently
consults with other practice groups in our firm, including
our real estate, corporate, family law, and litigation attorneys.
The result is a comprehensive estate plan that will meet
your personal and financial requirements over time. We pride
ourselves in the long-term relationship we have with our
clients as a result of our being able to provide a wide array
of legal services.
Our commitment to our clients is to provide them with conscientious,
professional, and ethical representation in a timely and cost-effective
manner. We are proud that the firm's estates and trusts practice
group includes an attorney board certified by the Florida Bar
in Wills, Trusts and Estates. Our legal staff is well trained
and dedicated to serving our clients in an efficient and professional
manner.
