Land Use & Environmental Law

The Farr Law Firm’s Land Use & Environmental Law practice provides legal counsel to clients on various issues pertaining to land use and environmental law, including rezonings, variances, special exceptions,  permitting, comprehensive plan amendments, audits and consent orders, and constitutional concerns.  

We are equipped to handle complex matters related to environmental and conservation laws and regulations of Southwest Florida, such as coastal development, and wetlands issues, including mitigation and mitigation banking.

Representing clients before federal, state and local agencies in Environmental and Land Use Matters

We have represented clients in matters dealing with the Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council, the Florida Cabinet sitting as the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund, the Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Community Affairs, Federal Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Marine Fisheries Service, and both the Southwest and South Florida Water Management Districts. We have also appeared before governing bodies such as the County Commission and Board of Planning and Zoning Appeals of Charlotte, Sarasota, DeSoto, and Lee Counties.
