Practice
Areas: Administrative, Land Use and Environmental Law
Director Michael Haymans negotiates and closes
real estate and business transactions. He concentrates his
practice in the area of land development including comprehensive
land use plan amendments and issues involved with rezoning,
developments of regional impact, environmental regulations,
variances, and special exceptions. Mr. Haymans joined the
firm in 1983 after receiving Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor
degrees from the University of Florida.
He is past
president of the Charlotte County Bar Association, a member
of the Venice-Englewood Bar Association, a member of the
Environmental and Land Use Law Section, Local Government
Section, Administrative Law Section, and the Real Property,
Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar. Through
1985 and 1986, he served as a member of The Florida Bar
General Practice Section Executive Council. He is also
a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Mr. Haymans is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme
Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; the
U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, and Florida
state courts. He is active in many community organizations,
events, and issues.
