Dorothy L. Korszen

Dorothy L. Korszen is a Director at the Farr Law Firm.  Her legal practice focuses on estate planning, real estate, probate, and business & corporate law.  She works with clients in preparing wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents to ensure that the resulting plans accurately reflect their wishes.  Mrs. Korszen works with clients through the probate process of administering assets upon one’s death.  She also represents clients in real estate transactions dealing with all areas of residential and commercial real estate and provides counsel to businesses of all sizes in the formation, organization and management of business entities.

Mrs. Korszen, a Martindale-Hubbell BV rated attorney, joined the firm in 2003.  She practiced in both Miami and Milwaukee before returning to Florida and serving as a volunteer with the Guardian ad Litem program, an organization that represents Florida’s abused and neglected children in Court.  Mrs. Korszen received her Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering from the University of Florida and earned a Professional Engineer registration from the state.  She received her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami.

Mrs. Korszen is the Board Chair of the Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice, one of the largest and most prestigious philanthropic organizations in Florida, responsible for grants of more than $85,000,000 to the community since its inception in 1995. She is a member of the Charlotte County Bar Association as well as a member of the Charlotte County and Venice Area Estate and Tax Planning Councils.  She is also active as an affiliate member of the Englewood Area Board of REALTORS® and the Englewood Women’s Council of REALTORS®.  Mrs. Korszen formerly served as a member of the Inter-American Law Review, which publishes a legal periodical at the University of Miami.
